Background: Snur was a male human member of the Maya Pei Brigade during the Imperial Era. They were part of a group stranded on the moon Yavin 4 in 4 BBY following an attack on the brigade. By 4 BBY, Snur had joined the Maya Pei Brigade to fight against the Galactic Empire. In 4 BBY, the brigade was attacked, and Snur was a part of a group of at least sixteen members who escaped aboard a starship that landed on Yavin 4. However, one group member departed on the ship, leaving Snur and the rest stranded on the moon. The group later encountered and killed an individual named Porko that they found near a clearing with a damaged Breon HOY-39.

Two days after being stranded on the moon, Porko’s companion, a man named Cassian Andor, landed near the HOY-39 in a stolen TIE Avenger. As Andor approached the HOY-39, calling out for Porko, the brigade members revealed their presence and took Andor prisoner. Snur watched Andor as two group members, Gerdis and Bardi, took turns trying to interrogate Andor. The interrogation was interrupted when Rika, a group member, found the Imperial pilot helmet in the TIE and proclaimed that Andor was an Imperial test pilot. Later on, Snur waited outside the TIE while Rika tried to learn to fly the TIE. However, after realizing it was much more complicated to fly, the group discussed the situation with Bardi, suggesting they could threaten to kill Andor. The meeting was interrupted when Andor learned the group was with the Maya Pei Brigade from his guard, Crab, with Andor trying but failing to convince the group to trust him. Later on, Snur, Nazy, and Neek were tasked with guarding Andor while Rika once again tried to learn to pilot the TIE. When Andor began conversing with Snur about gathering food and water from the jungle, Nazy interrupted by telling Snur not to talk to Andor. Snur responded that they don’t take orders from Bardi. After Rika pressed a button in the TIE, its laser cannons began to fire into the jungle, causing the Snur and their fellow guards to dive for cover.

That night, an argument between the group erupted when discussing who should be in charge, ultimately coming to a head when Crab shot Rika with his blaster and Rowd responded by shooting Crab. The brigade members exchange fire while splitting into two factions: Snur siding with Gerdis, Snee, Bayso, Plug, and Flek, and regrouping at the HOY-39 with Andor, while the other group retreats to the TIE. Later that night, Snur stayed with the group in the crashed HOY-39 while Snee crawled through the rain looking for Crab. When she found a dismembered portion of Crab’s leg, she ran back to the group and informed them. The following morning, the group went through their supplies, noting that they had fourteen snack-pods and nine meal bars, but two were moldy. Snur stated that they would eat the moldy ones if they got hungry enough. The group later sent Plug to sneak over and find out what the other group was doing at the TIE. While waiting for Plug to return, Snur ate their whole meal bar. He returned to the group to inform them that they were trying to rotate the TIE so its weapons would point towards Snur’s group. Figuring out they could turn the TIE towards them, the group quickly opened fire at the TIE with their blasters, thus forcing the TIE group to suspend their effort.

That night, Gerdis decided to challenge Bardi to settle the dispute. Snur joined four other members of their group to meet with five members of the other group. When the two groups met in the middle, they all dropped their weapons in unison. Snur watched as the two leaders began a game of Five Hands with Roski rules to decide leadership. However, Andor took the distraction of the game as an opportunity to escape his imprisonment and make it to the TIE. However, before Andor could get TIE, a Yavinian doodar came out of the jungle and scooped Bardi and Gerdis in its mouth. The rest of the group, including Snur, scrambled for their guns and began to shoot wildly into the jungle. When the group realized that Andor had made it to the TIE and was taking off, they began shooting at it, but could not stop the TIE from leaving.
